For a while now I have experienced part sound on two of my games, Far Cry 2 and Fallout 4 where sound was only evident the way I am facing. Tonight I got fed up of this and decided to check out my (onboard) sound system. The first thing I noticed was that the Realtek drivers were dated 10/20. So I downloaded the latest drivers and installed them. The PC asked me to reboot, which I did. The drivers tried to install again, so I let it and then rebooted.
The third time it tried to install again and I cancelled it. And rebooted. My speakers which were not there before final reboot now appeared, and I had full sound in both games. I seem to recall a while back people complained. in Win 10, that realtek drivers were trying to update every day or every couple of days. I thought Realtek upgraded via win update so I check Update history and there had been no realtek upgrades at all in Win 11.
Anybody else experienced this phenomenon??
