I'm using FireFox browser with the DuckDuckGo search engine. Whenever I do a search, I adjust the date settings to "Past Year." Is there any way to save that setting so I don't have to set it every time?

Results are usually sorted with newest first... at least on Google.

I just searched on DuckDuckGo, for... "Recent Entries".
This topic here, was the 4th or 5th result.

I don't use the built in search engine... I just have the DuckDuckGo search page, bookmarked.

To make DuckDuckGo your default search engine in Firefox, you can:

1. Open Firefox
2. Open the browser menu (three lines)
3. Select Settings
4. Select Search from the menu on the left
5. Use the drop-down menu under Default Search Engine to choose DuckDuckGo

As for the results thing. Maybe, if you set the result settings to the way you want them, type something into the search bar (like “A” for instance) drag the link with the search results for “A” onto your bookmark toolbar (or desktop?). Then use that bookmark for all future searches, change the A to your search term

This is in theory only as my PC is busy and I don’t have access. But I am assuming the settings will be saved in the resulting weblink/boomark.

To drag a link onto your bookmark toolbar using Firefox, do that search for “A” with the settings you speak of, then click and hold the padlock icon (located next to the URL in the address bar) while dragging your mouse cursor to the desired location on your toolbar/desktop/wherever and releasing the click; this will create a desktop shortcut/bookmark for that webpage.
