I am trying to remove this with a .bat or .reg file. Anyone know how to do that? If there is a way to not only remove it from the Start menu, but to also uninstall it, I would be interested in that as well!

I am not sure if REVO Uninstaller Free has added this to the list of remoeable apps yet.

There is a pretty old thread in here about this entry, if nothing else, an interesting read.

Just to note, I believe this is a feature in the Windows Feature Experience Pack, so most likely not removable. And if it was, would likely return.
You may be able to hide it via the registry but I wouldn’t know from where.

If you place this search term into the Google search box, you will see many posts here regarding Get Started

Hi SightUP,

In order to remove programs like Get Started, you will have to go into PowerShell and call up the app and give it a command to remove the app ("remove-appxpackage"). It may seem a little complicated and tricky, but it is very easy when you get it. Below is a tutorial for removing programs from Windows (10). It will work with Windows 11 also. Start in Option 6 (you may need to open PS with admin rights).

Unistall Windows apps (option 6)

Let me know if you run into any trouble.

Kind regards,

tecknot

Hi @SightUp,

Please ignore my post. I booted up my Windows 11 to check on Get Started. It is installed on my machine, so I took my own advice and failed. I could not uninstall Get Started from Windows 11.

I do sincerely apologize for my blunder.

Kind regards,

tecknot
