Remove programs from open menu with

Hi everyone, but is it possible to remove some programs from the open with menu? for jpg and png files
I would like to remove these
Photos, Paint, qView, Snipping Tool and search in the Microsoft store

I tried to download the openwithview program but there is no trace of those programs

Yeah, I'd like to get rid of that clutter, myself. Both on 10 and 11

If it can be done natively instead of using a 3rd party app, so much the better.

It can, in registry, but you must know where it's placed and remove it yourself.

I don't understand how it works honestly, I go to the section you indicated but there are only file types, extensions, no programs that I don't want to see. I don't understand honestly

From what I understand that tutorial is used to reset the default open with button
so it goes back as if Windows had just been installed but it is useless for me because the default Windows programs will remain.
I would like to remove them and leave the two programs that I use

and yes I understood, so for me it's useless because the default ones remain

I followed your guide, downloaded the REG file, started it and the secondary programs disappeared (the ones you install, to be clear)
but the default Windows programs, as you can see from the photo, remained.

Yeah, the defaults will not be removed. Only user choice apps. :(

I understand, it is not even possible to order the list in a custom way? I mean, there are 6 programs in that list if I want to put PAINT3D in the first place for example and PHOTO in the last line is it possible to do it?
