Solved Right Click/New (Desktop) - apps missing

I recently upgraded to Windows 11 Pro, and found that when right clicking on the desktop, then clicking on 'New', the usual apps like notepad, Rich Text Document, (the latter is actually not installed, as in pic), and Word, are missing. How do I restore the default apps. On windows 10, I never had this problem.

I visited numerous forums/YouTube for fixes. None of them worked, including your suggestion. Thanks anyway.

You could add them yourself, if you know which entries you want.

It's was partly Edwin's suggestion, but also I had to delete the whole of the .docx key in the registry. See below.

Regedit HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and go to the item that is missing. (e.g. .docx)
Delete the whole key. That is .docx and everything in it.
Run the Quick repair on Office.
Restart the computer.

I recently moved from old Office 2013 to new Office 365 (install version not online) and for some reason when I right click there's no new Word or Excel option in the context menu, I have a few other Office ones but not those two which I really need, I've googled and tried a couple of registry...
