Recently I've noticed when I delete a file I get an error message saying that it is open in run time broker. If I wait about 5 seconds I can go back and delete it succesfully. Any iIdeas on how to repair this to permit immediate deletion ? ?

Run Time Broker manages the security permissions for UWP (or Store) apps. In the UWP app model, you're not supposed to be deleting any files under its control.

Are these files in "Program Files\WindowsApps" or "\Windows\SystemApps"? Or do they exist in your AppData folder?

These are either .mp4 or .docx files on the desktop. I can click and drag to the recycling bin but not right click the contect menu to delete.

Sounds like a background app has temporarily opened it for review. Do you have Copilot enabled?

Yes, CoPilot is enabled. I deleted it and things delete form the context menu just fine now. Thank You.

My guess is Copilot is examining files you've created to teach itself about your habits. And there's a lag before it's done reading the file.
