Security Warning when copying files

My friend asked me about this and I don't know the answer. When he is trying to copy files from:

C:\Users\Jeff\AppData\LocalLow\SpaceBulletDynamicsCorporation\VoxMachinae

He gets this warning:

The files don't have a blocked status, I told him to copy them to an external drive formatted in exFAT so they would lose any permissions issues or security then copy them back but that didn't help.

Windows Smart Screen is disabled and so is Windows Defender as he uses McAfee Antivirus

Any ideas?

Unblock the file from Properties of the file.

Because they were downloaded from the internet, perhaps this was a mod. This is why you got the message, as the files were modified and came from another source. And your moving them somewhere else. For example, somewhere specific in the c drive so windows is like HEY! U sure you wanna do that bro? So yeah unblocking the file from properties would solve it.

Right, but the weird thing is that I enabled the rule in Group Policy Editor which says Do not preserve zone information in file attachments and when I download files from the browser, they never have a blocked status.

Correct. I didn't think that the game would ignore that rule, I was under the impression that is a system-wide rule.

Normally, you would have to do it one at a time but I used Winaero Tweaker which has an option to add the unblock option to the right click context menu. After doing that, you can highlight all the files and unblock them in one shot. Just make sure they are only files not folders otherwise the option wouldn't appear in the right click context menu

Now I know what's going on, all the files in this folder have the same blocked status and you cannot unblock them, it's the same on my computer:

C:\Users\Spartan\AppData\LocalLow

Is that normal?
