In services.msc, which services can be safely disabled?

Hedllo @WyattCollins and welcome to ElevenForum. :-)

In Windows 10 and 11, unlike the Windows versions before... there's really nothing to disable in Services, that will help.
There are some things you can disable... if you "know" you aren't going to use them.

For me, I'm never going to use Bluetooth, Smart Card and Wireless things... so I can disable them.

Keep in mind that when set to Manual in Services... that Service will only run when needed.

Short answer: In Win 10/11... just leave the Services alone. :-)

In my opinion... if you want to speed things up, or clean up Windows a bit... start removing Windows Apps.
For example, on my system... I removed all the Apps with RED dots...

00000 REVO Junk Removal.png

If you decide to trim the Apps... just be careful what you remove. Some Apps depend on other Apps for functionality.

More stuffies...

And before you start tweaking Windows 11... get some decent backup software, and use it!

To find your exact Windows version, type: winver ...in the Taskbar search box.

Please fill out your computer specs. Or at least the full make and model of your laptop or desktop.
It will help if you do have a problem one day and need to post for assistance.

These two items will get you answers faster than anything else you can do. :-)

These two programs will give you all your computer specs. Get the "portable" (ZIP) versions...

Wow
The "red dots" are a lot of "bloater apps" lol

Thank you for the suggestions.
Looks like I got my work cut out for me-self.

I'll work on filling in the system specs as much as I can.
Right now I'm just trying to gather info before I try tweaking too much.

Always a smart move. :-)

Since Windows 8, Microsoft has pretty much been using us for guinea pigs.
We cost much less than it does to maintain a full blown Quality Control Department.

I can't stress the importance of 3rd party backup software, enough.
It will save your bacon, countless times.

The TechPowerUp GPU-Z has about 5 different ones for in the USA...how can I find out which one is for my location?
Or does it not matter?

I chose the 0% server load.

No, not that link, but the link below

It says:

Those are just mirrors. Mirrors are just different servers that have the file.
This gives the option to choose the one with the least load.

All of this is pointless these days. It's left over from when we were all on DSL connections.
A program as small as CPU-Z doesn't really need mirrors. :-)

I guess... if a server went down... the mirrors would help, but otherwise...

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
How do my spec's look?

I'd like to fill in all the fields.
I'm thinking it's more of a work in progress while I "learn the machine".

I only ever disable third party services using Autoruns for programs I don't need or know to be bloatware. I would not fiddle with any Microsoft services.
