Windows 11 Home 24H2 OS build 26100.3037. Other problems that showed up at the same time , freezing web pages (have to minimize then restore) problem shows up numerous times, Thunderbird will not download or send msgs unless restart is done. Have run several virus and malware scans using Norton and Malware Bytes. Ran the DISM to repair and System file checker several times. Also Restored Windows using Media tool and Windows restore to fix corrupted files. Both tries replaced Windows but still no fixes. Also used CCleaner to ck the registry.

No mods? Computer is a Lenovo Ideapad, the info under My Computer is correct as far as I know.

James, I suspect your user account is corrupted and the problem is not windows OS at all. You can prove this to keep from chasing your tail in the wrong direction. Enable hidden administrator account from command prompt to use for testing
1. Open command prompt as administrator and type net user administrator /active:yes (note the space)
2. Restart. You will now see 2 users on your login screen. Sign in with the new administrator account.
If you do NOT have these issues using this administrator account, that proves your user account is corrupted. Report back what you find and I can give further instructions.
Note:the hidden administrator account is not meant to be used as daily account. It will need to be disabled after testing is complete.
