So... I got this laptop, a WIn 11 (was Win 10 but one day I found it to be Win 11, so... Just running with it. >.< ) model. I want to keep things synched between my desktop and this laptop but the files are stored in the /appdata folder, appdata/locallow to be more specific. I am running head on into an issue trying to give me (laptop) access to my (desktop) /user folder to read and write so the synch program can write back any changes I make on the laptop to the desktop. There is already a local account on the desktop so I can access my files and read/write to the desktop drives but even though it's in the Permissions for /user the laptop can only read from and not write to the /user folder, the synch program errors saying no permission for that folder. If I, on the laptop, go to set permissions on the /user folder on the desktop, when I go to add a user I can't change the "Location" to the laptop, and vice versa, if I try to set permissions on the desktop for the desktop /user folder , I can't change the Location to the laptop. So how can I give myself access to my own files if the app I use (ok, fine, it's a game save folder) if the dev uses the /appdata folder ?
