Just purchased a gaming PC for my son a couple of weeks ago. It is running Win 11 24H2 with all the latest updates. About 1 out of every 4 shutdowns, the monitors go black, keyboard lights go off, but the PC case fans continue to run and the lights inside it are still on (it is one of those gaming boxes with the glass see-through case and has about 10 fans). The only way to complete the shutdown is to hold down the power button on the case. The majority of the time everything shuts down as it should, including all lights and fans in the case.
A call to support at the local store where we bought it gave the opinion that some peripheral device plugged in via USB is probably causing the lack of a full shutdown. He does have a number of devices plugged in via USB including a joystick, camera, headset and a few others I can't remember right now. Still, most of the time it shuts down, and the prior PC he had never displayed this issue. I'm a bit light on the tech specs of the machine since it isn't at my house right now. I know it has an nVidia Gforce RTX 4060 TI, 2TB solid state drive and 32GB RAM.
Any ideas?
