Sidebar quick access icons not showing after relaunching Edge

The Quick access icons aren't staying pinned - every time I restart Edge they've gone. Current Beta and stable releases same problem

See pics - one is when I pinned them, the other is after I closed and relaunched Edge

Not working with Edge Dev either

I’d like to be able to help but I disabled mine.

You could run through this page and check to see if something changed in the Group Policy settings.

I logged into a spare profile I have on this PC, Edge isn't logged in to an account there. The Sidebar icons appeared briefly, then disappeared. Same problem so not an MS/Edge account issue.

None of the registry or GP keys mentioned in the article exist on my PC but can't say whether they were there before

Installed Edge Canary - the Sidebar icons were all showing until the initial setup was done, then they all disappeared

AAah Ok that worked! It's a new change I'm guessing because I've not had to do that before

It also affects all installed versions - I did it on Beta which is my daily use browser, the sidebar icons were also on Stable version
