OS
Windows 11 Pro + Win11 Canary VM.
I am baffled as to my I can only download at about 2 MB/s from MS iso sites on my ASUS (W10 or W11), but if I go to a Linux site I can download at 8 MB/s which is more or less top speed.

I thought maybe it was the remote site being limited, but as I was updating my old laptop Lenovo, I discovered I could download at 8 MB/s as well.

I have tried all sorts of things e.g. ipv4, ipv6, changing DNS servers, making sure wifi was private etc.

I cannot see a single reason why one device (much newer) downloads at 25% of speed of older pc, just for MS download sites. All other sites download at full speed!

Maybe I should not have been so scathing on my MS Feedback, and "THEY" are out to get me LOL.

EDIT : I have had this issue for ages, and then I had a thought just after I posted - what would happen if I turned Defender off, and "shiver me timbers", it was downloading at full speed. Now what is really bizarre is I turned Defender back on, and it is still at full speed!

Go figure!!!!
