I've seen YouTubes for YEARS refer to ways to get Android apps on a Windows PC and they're all so dang convoluted. This method --

Most of the time they aren't a risk.
But... there's always the possibility that there might be one with... cooties.
Best option is 3rd party backup software. It's really good at removing infections as well as plain old Windows corruptions.
