Surface Pro 7 plus, screen off, YouTube

I just purchased the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 plus, everything is fine but there is a single little issue

I'm listening music ( YouTube, Brave browser) i can't turn off the screen or else the music will stop playing
Is there a way to fix this? Tried everything possible, Control Panel - all those options with Power Options... Turn off the display, etc.
I've use Android and stil have another tablet but I'd like to stick with Windows. I have a DAC, amplifier and the headphones, Windows is much better, many options, equalizer, etc
If I can't find a way to fix this issue, I'd like to buy YouTube Premium but not sure if it's possible on Windows tablets, to turn off the screen while listening music.
On Android ( Samsung Galaxy Tab S9) I can turn off the screen when music on YouTube ( Brave browser) is playing
Any advices are welcome, thank you in advance.

what is your power button set to do?

make it turn off the screen without putting to sleep and see if it resolves that (it should; by default the power button will put it in standby mode on surfaces)

turn off the display with power button

Is it possible to define power button to turn off the display without sleep or hibernate ,like on android tablets? i tried several tutorials from web but it is not working for surface pro 2017: in "control panel->hardware and sound->power options->edit plan settings->change advanced power...

I have 4 options there
Do nothing
Sleep
Hibernate
Shutdown

Is it possible,maybe,with the gpedit.msc or some regedit settings?

thats why i linked the forum with the reg edit steps needed to disable Connected Standby. this will disable sleep and make the button turn off the display instead.

I tried already,this option is not available anymore.

CsEnabled instead of CSEnabled

if you have something playing and lock (win+L) your surface, does it continue to play or does it pause the media?

open command prompt as admin and run

Code:

powercfg -h off

then try the button. that disables hibernate and sleep should be disabled via the reg mod. hopefully thats all it is

The HIBERNATE options is missing now, from all those 4 options.

Rename CsEnabled to PlatformAoAcOverride and leave the value as 0. Reboot and see if 'Turn Off the Display' shows in the dropdown menu for button options then.

I didn't copy any music yet,from my PC to the tablet,but I will
Wouldn't think, it's a browser issue

Ok, i did, there is this option now,but when i check again after a few seconds, its blank -white and when i press the button on the tablet, nothing happens

Run the same command, but instead of “off” type “on” to enable hibernate again, if desired.

Good that it’s in the drop-down now. Question: did you make the second reg mod to disable the Lock Screen as well?
