Windows 11
Hello!
I'm reaching out to seek some guidance on an issue I'm experiencing with my Windows 11 system.
After booting into Windows 11 normally, the Taskbar frequently become unresponsive (hang/not responding). However, when booting into Safe Mode, everything works fine without any issues.

The system also hangs when attempting to run Win Key + R and typing any command, which ultimately causes the Taskbar to freeze immediately.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
  1. Booted into Safe Mode, and the issue did not occur.
  2. Performed a Clean Boot to disable third-party startup applications.
  3. Ran SFC and DISM scans to repair system files.
  4. Attempted display driver uninstallation.
Looking for further troubleshooting guidance to pinpoint the exact driver or software causing the issue and find a permanent fix.

Thank you in advance for any help and suggestions!

Hi @Koesminin ,
Please fill out your system specs in your profile as it is always helpful.

Not experiencing an issue in Safe Mode would seem to indicate a driver issue as most drivers do not get loaded in that mode.
But before digging further, could you create a new user, log in as the new user and see if the problem appears as well.
Report back.

Thank you for the suggestion @OAT I have already filled out my system specs.

I also created a new user account and logged in as the new user, the problem did not appear at all, everything is running smoothly.
However, when I logged back into my normal user account, the issues resumed. It seems like something specific to my original user profile is causing the problem. If anyone has additional suggestions on resolving this or what other steps I should take, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks for your help!

After further investigating the issue that only appeared in my normal user account, I was finally able to resolve the problem. I monitored the running processes and discovered that the reason the taskbar was becoming unresponsive (hanging) was related to the Widgets feature in Windows 11.

When I enabled Widgets, it became clear that the issue stemmed from having Widgets disabled. It’s quite strange, as I haven’t enabled Widgets for years, but recently it has been causing the taskbar to occasionally become unresponsive.

So, if anyone else is experiencing a similar issue, I recommend checking your Widgets settings and trying to enable them.
