Solved The audio drivers delete themselves

Hello,

My hyperX cloud 2 wireless stopped working on my new laptop. When I erase them using the control panel and plug them back in, they start working again. I figured out that when I restart my laptop, 3 of the USB audio driver delete themselves and are replace with intcusb.inf_amd64_9d17fea24a602101\IntcUSB.sys

How can I stop this?

First, backup your system.

Set Realtek to use whatever drivers you want,
Then force delete the old drivers using DriverStoreExplorer. Use this program at your own risk and be very careful. Run as admin.

There's a good chance the unwanted driver might come back through windows update. Your only option there is to disable WU from installing drivers altogether. You would have to manage your own driver updates manually. If you have Pro, use group policy method. The registry option in this tutorial works for both Home and Pro.

It's a good idea to also set the option:
Open System Properties by typing “sysdm.cpl” (without quotes) in the Search box on the Taskbar, then hit the Enter key.

In System Properties, select the Hardware tab, then click on Device Installation Settings.

In the Device installation settings screen, choose NO.

Click on Save Changes to exit.

Restart the system.

Thank you! I manage to erase the driver intcusb using driver store explorer. My headphones still work after updating my computer so I don't think I whill need to disable WU.
