Solved Touch pad and keyboard not working as expected

I have struggled with the touch pad and keyboard on this windows 11 brand new laptop since i bought it. The touchpad does not work as it did in win 10. the drivers for it were downloaded but did not install. 6 times i tried with no result. The text keeps changing case and style for no reason that i can find. Sometimes when I hit a key by accident all that I have typed just disappears. I am asked for my password for Microsoft, Firefox and google 20 times a day. It's becoming a nightmare. Is there a way I can just delete it, go back to win 10 as it was 6 months back and then block any updates?
I get the feeling that Microsoft reached a point in testing the new version and gave it up, leaving the users to do the final testing.
I have a 15" screen and seldom will the text on it show everything. If I ctrl- to get it on view I then have to zoom in 5 times to be able to read the 2-point text. It would be great to be able to set text font size to 12 points and leave windows to format the page, and not suddenly find that my pointer has moved up 5 lines and i am ruining the text have already typed. The winver page won't let me copy it and switching between screens is difficult.
Looks like customers are being used as testers yet again!

Welcome to the forum. Your statements are very contradictory so I am more than a little confused. Please clarify your issue better. First you say

If you've had problems since it was new, chances are it is not a bad or missing driver but faulty hardware. It won't matter whether it's on 10 or 11, if the hardware is defective. If it's still under warranty take it up with the laptop manufacturer. From your description of what it happening it sounds like defective hardware to me.
Then you say it worked in 10 even though you previously stated you had the problem since you purchased it.

If it came with 10 and worked fine but began working poorly after you upgraded to 11, check device manager. Does it show that the touchpad is installed and the drivers working? It is the responsibility of the hardware manufacturer to provide compatible drivers when a new OS is released. Touchpad drivers are always 3rd party. The touchpad drivers are separate from the keyboard drivers, Keyboard drivers are universal MS drivers and work with any type of wired keyboard and a laptop keyboard is wired.

Yes, you can install Windows 10 on it but it will require a clean install if it has been more than 10 days since you upgraded.

What you say is possible, but the root cause is that Microsoft update was trying to install similar files to the ones already installed, so it downloaded the files, could not install them and told me to retry. I reported this to Microsoft and half an hour later when I tried again got a message you are up to date. Looks like they fixed it. Time will tell.

I ended up contacting Lenovo.
They told me that windows always installs at the highest possible pixels per inch. Which is fine if you have a 24 inch screen. So I had to reduce the resolution to 1300 or so and change the default zoom to 100%.
This made a difference but the system is still unuseable.
I've tried playing with settings to no avail. When the machine was delivered it was running windows 10.

Everything worked as expected. I thensdecthe error of updating to Win11.
Big mistake.

Win 11serms to work on a 24 inch screen just as Win 10 did. I plugged a 24 inch monitor in to check.
But as soon as the screen size drops to 15inches very little works. My on line banking app works almost.
Gmail does not work at all or I cannot recognise it.

I've been programming computers in multiple languages since Microsoft was just a start up so can usually solve any problems. This OS is the worst that I have come across since 1977.
I am considering scrapping it and moving to Unix.
