True Launch Bar - Solution for Windows 11

I am new to this forum but I too really like True Launch Bar and I have used it for years. I was really disappointed when it would not work with Windows 11. Buy, I stumbled upon a solution accidentally and duplicated it from my desktop to my All-In-One PC so I know for sure it works. I use an app called StartAllBack to replicate the old main taskbar/start from Windows 7. It works fine for Windows 11. I have my old TLB toolbar directory under True Launch Bar Menu off my C: drive as per usual with TLB. You can right click on the main taskbar in Windows and expand the toolbars option. If your TLB toolbar is not already listed then you can use the new tool bar option to define it. I simply clicked on the True Launch Bar Menu option and it launched down to the main toolbar and was fully functional. It appeared to the right of the start icon and other icons already on the bar but all you have to do is drag the TLB bar over to the start icon and the other icons will push back to the right past the TLB bar. Easy solution I think.

So I've been hunting for a way to get the Quick Launch Toolbar back and figured I'd give this a shot, as I was already running StartAllBack. Worked perfect! In startAllBack, I went to the Welcome bar, switched to Remastered 7, let it do it's thing and the right click gave me the toolbar option. So I then added it as I normally would have, and it showed back up. Then I switched back to Proper 11 on the Welcome tab and the Quick Launch Toolbar stayed. Attaching a screenshot for proof. Regardless, it is used by hundreds if not thousands of members here.

Back on Windows 8, I started using Start 8 for Windows. I progressed to Start 10 and then Start 11 but encountered problems in Start 11. So, I found StartAllBack and it works just fine on Windows 11 and earlier versions. Maybe I can contact StartAllBAck and get a promo fee! Ha!

I use Start11v2. I love it, I wouldn’t be without it. The latest version allows Taskbars on the left, right, top or bottom. They have added many new features.


StartAllBack suits many here and is a bit cheaper than Start11v2

Thanks for the welcome. I am a retired programmer/analyst with 37 years of experience, primarily on IBM mainframes but I dabbled at different levels. It's good to find people of like minds on computer issues - seems to be plenty to go around.

I'm not shilling anything, I've been searching for a way to get the Quicklaunch toolbar back, on and off, for a week or so after the update to 24h2 nuked it. If you search for solutions, it's a whole lot of "nope, not possible," and "gone forever" horse hockey. I found this single recent post about something close to what I was doing and confirmed it worked and thanked the poster. It's what us old guys used to do back before the internet got terrible.

I believe Start11 supports TLB too. Can anyone confirm?
