Earlier today, I encountered an issue after bringing my laptop out of airplane mode. some of system began to freeze intermittently, which I initially assumed was just a temporary hiccup after waking from sleep.

As part of my usual routine, I attempted to switch from Wi-Fi to a wired connection by disabling Wi-Fi. However, it didn’t respond — neither the Wi-Fi nor the Bluetooth network connections were functioning. I also noticed that the sound icon in the taskbar was completely disabled, the audio services may have been affected as well.

By attempting to do a normal restart, I noticed it was taking longer than expected and it kept spinning . The system only recovered after I performed a hard reset.
I am looking into the event logs to help understand the situation and see what it captured during that short timeframe until restarted at 8:48.50AM,

Could someone please assist with reviewing the log files related to the issue I experienced earlier today

The hard reset was done with battery power or with AC plugged?

this was done while it was on battery, another course of event few minutes ago, I stepped away from the laptop, as usual it was idling, when I returned the laptop shutdown unexpectedly, looking at the event logs from last hour, before critical event occured, this error referencing to the
volmgr, assuming

Never do hard reset or try to install OS while PC is on Battery.

And... Check you battery health...

Use Dism a scannow to check OS.

Performed the scan health, everything looks good.

I pressed on the power button for couple of second.
That is not "hard reset", lol.
Is force shutdown!

Now make sense.

When you take out from flight mode, all apps are activated to try to get information from Internet, even OS, all that makes consumption to rise to high levels.

You have hard drive or SSD?

Disconnect any external USB Drives

I would check the Health of your SSD/HDD.
Download DiskGenius, and or Crystal Disk Info, both in my signature.
View the SMART Info on your drive(s)
If it is any less than GOOD, it needs to be replaced.

You can also run a Clean Boot.
If this works, you can Keep it This Way,
If you want to find out what is causing it,
You can add One or More Service or Startup items at a time, until the behavior returns

My bad, it was a force shutdown, I do have a SSD, this is a fairly new laptop. With the CrystalDisk, heath status shows everything is 'good' 1745244953680.webp
