I wish that any account hosting site purges inactive user accounts as a host-initiated action 
I wish that any account hosting site has an option to delete user accounts as a user-initiated action
Important, in either case, purging/deletion happens without user data being sold
There are way too many zombie accounts on the net

Problem is with 80% - 90% of the sites, used to be 99% a decade ago, has 'improved' but still very bad, if you care about your 'digital footprint'

For example dbartenstein@twitter.com will live in Google archives even if Twitter itself goes down and everything related will be exposed to anyone wanting to misuse it. Note that everything on the net is an interrelated web
Even the info of dead people is not immune or even preferred by misusers, it's like that in the real world, it's worse in the virtual world, it's worst in the hidden virtual world.
