Uninstalling Acronis True Image 2025 to Resume using Macrium Reflect

Hello All

Think gonna try for birthday to finally afford Reflect X subscription. Currently have Macrium Reflect Home Version 8, 4 License Pack, So should i use Revo Uninstaller to remove Acronis so no traces get left behind, or should i use Windows Uninstall, and then Acronis Cleanup tool to fully cleanup system prior to reinstalling Macrium Reflect.

I can do a image backup first with Acronis if need be for all 3 Systems

((Have issues deciding on things at times, but this time fully decided)

You'll probably need to use the Acronis Cleanup Tool.

Like antivirus programs, Acronis has kernel hooks.

Ok got that downloaded as well, the Acronis Cleanup tool

Yeah aware of that , but will get it taken care of once and for all lol, just a bit of work to get it taken care of

Didn't even use the Antivirus portion of it lol--only used the backup portion really, didn't use The Restore function or most of the other features lol

Why not keep both, for the time being?

Compare them. Then see which one works best for you. And then if you desire, use the Acronis Cleanup Tool later.

Well suppose i can do that, i do have enough space on Main PC to Do that

Secondary Gaming Laptop PC not enough space to have both installed lol, i could get second PC upgraded if this gaming laptop was easy to open, but thats a whole other issue lol. (Only 128GB Boot NVMe on that system, and Half Full 1TB HDD Storage Drive, mostly for Small Games on that system lol)

and do have enough space on 3rd system to run both as well on that one if i decided to

Guess will see which way i wanna go for sure in due time here

I've had 1TB SSD drive for the last 4 years and never looked back. SSDs are cheap enough. I personally use a Samsung 860 PRO 1TB but there are newer models out there.
