I am currently running Office 2021 LTSC and wanted to get an opinion from the group if its worth the bother and expense of upgrading to 2024 ? It's hard to tell from the looks of it. Plus I have a concern - if I do this - that prior remnants of 2021 might interfere with the new install. I'm no longer a power user.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I don't use and never will use Office products, but...
If Microsoft is offering the upgrade you're referring to... then it should be fine.
From what I know of LTSC, I would be happy to remain on 2021. LTSC is the way Windows and sundries, used to be offered. :-)

Also... here's ten points, just for filling out your computer specs.

I'm running 2021 Pro Plus and 2024 LTSC..., I don't see a single difference, except for the fact that Publisher has been depreciated in O2024. I'd say stick with what you've got for now!

I'm running Office 24 and Publisher 21, both update together and the Version numbers are identical, I'm confused.

Same..., which leads me to believe it's mostly just branding for now!

However, I have read that there is heavy integration with Copilot in the 365 versions,
and, there has been significant enhancements with OneNote on all fronts.

Aside from that, and possibly a few other things, they look and function the same to me! 🤷‍♂️
