My PC has two USB C 3.2 ports (one on the front, one on the back of my motherboard).
These only work in USB 3 mode when I plug in my external drive(s) BEFORE booting up.
If I plug in my external drives AFTER booting up into Windows, Windows only recognizes them as USB 2.0.
I updated my drivers, my BIOS, my drives etc., but this issue is still ongoing. Cables work, drives work.
Mainboard: Gigabyte x670e Aorus Pro X
Used external drives: Samsung T7 Shield, Western Digital My Passport
Windows 11 is up-to-date.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.
