The same flash drive would cause the explorer to freeze and crash if it was inserted in the motherboard but it would work just fine if I inserted it on the same PC but through the USB port that comes with my keyboard.

Every other flash drive I insert in the motherboard works fine it's only this one flash drive that's doing this.

I've tried to "clean" it with diskpart and gave it a quick format same issue.

I'm just wondering the most about why does it freeze the explorer when it's inserted through the motherboard but all is good when it's inserted through the Keyboard?

Try formatting the USB using RUFUS, see if it makes a difference. (It may not)

To format the USB using RUFUS

Put in the USB
Start RUFUS (As Admin)

It could be that the USB flash drive could be dying which will cause the File Explorer froze or the USB port is damage.

It could be that the USB flash drive could be dying which will cause the File Explorer froze or the USB port is damage.
Like I mentioned the rest of my flash drives work just fine on the motherboard (on the same exact USB port) except this flash drive that will freeze the explorer if it was plugged into any USB port on the motherboard while it works fine if it was plugged into the USB port from the keyboard.

If it was a motherboard problem shouldn't any flash drive that gets plugged to it cause the same problem? I tested 3 other flash drives on the motherboard and not a single issue.

So far I have tested 5 different USB flash drives on the same motherboard USB port and all of them work just fine. Guess that's enough to rule out the motherboard being the problem.

Said flash drive is going to the bin.

I said my say about dying USB flash drive but for some reason you only focus on damage motherboard or USB port.
