Hi,

Should its be installed in the W11: C partition or it's path be changed during install to Data D: ?

Is it likely that it won't function/run on Data D partition?

Won't installing on C: W11 increase the size for creating a backup?

OR it should be installed on the 2nd drive?

Hoping to hear from the experts.

You should install VMWare Player (the app itself) to the main system drive unless there is a reason not to.
It isn't a huge app, only a couple hundred of MBs. The virtual machines themselves, of course, could be much, much larger. You should put those to your other drives.

When you are creating a virtual machine, VMWare, by default, offers the Documents folder for this, which by default resides on the C drive. You should not accept this as this would definitely clog up your backups and take away your free space on your C drive.

Virtual machines can run from anywhere, any drive, as long as it is fast enough and has enough space.

Correct me if I didn't get it.
Install the app on W11: C partition and Documents (isos) folder on Data: D partition...correct?

Would I need to create a Documents folder on D partition since it's empty, IF yes how do I create a folder on the other empty partition or would it be created automatically?

Yes, you can create a Documents folder on your D drive. Actually it doesn't even have to be called Documents, it can be anything.
It is just the default setting to use the Documents folder. (Which is on the C drive unless moved)
But really it works from anywhere.
