VMWare Wks on Canary build works OK but I'd still say HYPER-V is better even if it's more fiddly. VmWare Wks doesn't need much setup-- it just works including Host (W11 canary)-VM connection, connection to Linux NAS server with large capacity disks etc.
Here's a VM (XP) using Vmware wks rel 17.5 on Canary W11 Enterprise

And the HOST system

For those not used to VM's I'd suggest using VMWare - seems "foolproof enough" even for beginners with VM's.
