I've had this problem before and got past it, but I can't remember how I did it now.
My Windows Mail app stopped working correctly, but just on this computer. Problem: No mail going out. Just sitting in Outbox.
Tried Repair, then resorted to Reset. Trouble. Added my account back into the app and into the People app, but I'm now repeatedly getting this in Mail whenever I try to check my mail (Note: just on this PC; my other PC's Mail app is working just fine):
"We couldn't access this account: ___________. You might need to update your password or give this account permission to sync to this device."
I've checked in GMail online, checked my password, turned off two-factor (temporarily), and checked my permissions list in GMail.
I've re-done the account three times: all names, addresses, IMAP and SMTP servers, all appropriate boxes checked. Restarted 4/5 times. Closed and opened Mail many times.
Can't think of anything else to do. If all else fails, I can go back to my latest MR image, but that will put me back to the broken Mail state, with no mail going out.
If you know the secret to beating this, please share it with me. Thanks.
