I have disabled receiving driver updates through WU using group policy. As far as I know that is the only change I have made. However, I am not receiving updates for other MS products either(MS Office2021) and the option is grayed out. I have to keep Office updated manually. It would be nice to receive those updates automatically if I can find out why the option is grayed out.
See screenshots.

Office updates [since about Office 2016] are not part of WU. Office runs its updates itself.
Any Office 2021 application File menu, Account / Office account, Office updates -the dropdown shows some options.
I think that an automatic setting is only shown in the dropdown in you use Office signed in to its MSAccount.
Any Office application except Outlook, File menu, Account, Office updates.png

All the best,

And I've just found an old screenshot that seems to me to confirm that an automatic update option is shown in that dropdown if Office 2021 is logged into its MSAccount. I didn't capture the dropdown but the auto setting shown implies that I had selected it there.
