With early adopters, like yourselves, already weaving AI into your daily lives, there’s even more capabilities with Copilot now included in your Microsoft 365 Personal and Family plans announced here. This means consumer subscribers get access to Copilot in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote and the Microsoft 365 Copilot app covered here—now including Copilot Chat.*This round-up covers new enhancements to the Microsoft 365 Copilot app on the web, on desktop (Windows and Mac), and on mobile (Android and iOS) for consumers with a Microsoft 365 subscription.

Meet Copilot Chat, your AI assistant for personal productivity. It’s your starting place to brainstorm and ask questions about the latest news, prep interview questions, or recommend hotspots to check out for a girls trip to Nashville. You can leverage ready-made prompts on the screen to kick off the conversation or type in your own questions to see where the conversation goes. There’s more prompting tips here to get you started.Copilot Chat is powered by OpenAI models and grounded in the latest information on the web to generate responses. While AI generates these responses and strives for accuracy, it can occasionally make mistakes. To help you verify the information, Copilot provides references for where the information originated.

Availability
All the Microsoft 365 Copilot app enhancements and features covered here will be rolled out by end of April.*Copilot Chat in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app is available for Microsoft 365 Enterprise, Academic, SMB, Personal and Family subscribers with a work, education, or personal account. It is available in these supported languages: Supported languages for Microsoft 365 Copilot - Microsoft Support.
**Microsoft Designer is only available to customers signed in with a personal account – not customers signed in with work or school accounts. A Microsoft 365 Personal, Family or Copilot Pro subscription is required to access generative AI features.
