OS
Windows 11
For instance, can I have installed Windows 11 24H2 but have this pack from 23H2? Will it affect the interface experience (such as taskbar)? Is it installeble separately from the rest of the system?

Hello, :alien:

The Windows Feature Experience Pack is a process Microsoft uses to deliver feature and experience improvements outside of the usual Windows feature updates. This Feature on Demand package includes features critical to Windows functionality.

Hello!
So, what about having newer version of Windows with older experience pack or vice versa? And does it affect File Explorer?

Windows Feature Experience Pack is another name for Client.CBS, which is part of every Windows since W10 22H2. You should have the 26100 version of it installed, but it sounds like your restored & re-updated system is still corrupted.

My suggestion is to create a 26100.3194 ISO from UUP dump, and attempt a repair install from it.

Having mismatched versions is bound to lead to weird errors.
