Solved What region to set for Windows 11

When I set the "Country or region" setting to Poland, the system is partially in English and partially in Polish (even after a clean installation). However, when I change the region to the USA, everything works normally. What should I do?

Hi @PatrykP

Have you tried fine tuning the language settings at Settings > Time & language > Language & region? Especially the Preferred Languages

There are different Windows installers for different countries. It sounds like your installation is US English.

AFAIK, it isn't possible to switch installation versions without doing a clean install.

It is a bit hard to explain this in a few words as Microsoft have made it all overcomplicated. I think I know how to do this now (i.e. how to change the Windows Display Language).

There is also this longish tutorial at Windows Central which goes into a bit of deep dive about configuring region settings. I tried this on my PC and it required a reboot before the new settings are implemented by Windows. Naturally the user needs to be logged in as an Administrator for this to work.

What version is it? Having the EU version has extra advantages

I'm not sure anyone can definitively answer your original question as it becomes purely a matter of choice. You may need to try out various combination settings for English and Polish. But, at least, settings should include the country of installation as Poland (if the version is EU)
