When I start Firefox, I get this message: "This app can't run on your PC"

I am running Windows 11 version 24H2, build 26100.3037 and Firefox version 134.0.2. As of the moment, both are the latest versions.

When I try to start Firefox, I get the following message from Windows: "This app can't run on your PC". This behavior started less than 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately I cannot recall anything or change that would have precipitated this. Oddly, at least to me, whenever this happens, I just download the latest version of Firefox, install it, and Firefox opens. But the next time I shut down Firefox and need to open it, for example, after rebooting my computer, I once again get the "This app can't run on your PC" error.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall the Firefox and reinstall it to see problem resolves.

or you can try Windows apps uninstall first. That may work.

Fully uninstall it, delete the leftover folders, and reinstall to a different directory

See if it will open if you run it as admin. If it does, right click on the shortcut/icon and set it to always run as admin. I don’t know why it would be doing this in the first place.

I’d suggest totally uninstalling it first, including app date folders and the folders from program folders in file explorer.
Revo doesn’t always remove these things.
