Just started noticing these new icons suddenly appearing while using Edge after installing 24H2 26100.1301 and 26100.1457. When they appear it screws up the scrolling function preventing it from working. I tried a reload but it still suddenly appears? Anyone know what's going on here? See below the black and white icon on the middle far right edge of the screenshot? How do I disable this feature to prevent those two icons? Thanks in advance!
Just an observation, the latest Released version of Windows 11 is 23H2 Build 22631.4037 so I'm guessing your version and builds are in the Insider Preview program, still in testing. I'm also guessing that's some of the Microsoft advertising going on.
I also have that on Edge on my Win11 version mentioned but it doesn't affect the vertical scrollbar. But I don't use Edge enough for it to be a bother. They can be removed. The uppermost icon, under the X, is for Copilot.
I think the OP is referring to these two icons... which probably would be in the way of the scroll bar.
I didn't even see them till I scrolled down. It's a pretty large pic.
Ghot, you're correct those are the icons I'm referring to. I'm not saying they actually get in the way of the scroll bar, rather it actually prevents the bar from being displayed on the right hand side of the window.
Just a guess. I don't even use EDGE.
I see a bunch of pros in here that do use EDGE, so you should have an answer soon.
I did a Google image search.
The K is Karma | Online shopping, but better Image search 1
And the other one might represent a bookmark or something called "Sortly". Image search 2
You might want to check EDGE add-ons for something called Karma and/or something called Sortly ?
I guess they could also be some kind of stand alone Apps ?

They don't show for me, but it has to be something in the settings that allows notifications. If not the following, something else?
And check your add-ons. Because apparently that's what they are?

I’m not one to complain about Microsofts direction with Windows or changes they make, not really if at all. But what I do loath is being opted into something without my knowledge. That goes for Windows or anything else in life.
If they are add-ons and they were added without your approval, that’s a violation of your freedom of choice. That’s WAR!! Kaboom

Ok, I played around with this a little more. After doing a fresh reinstall of 24H2 - 26100. 1457 this extension will install after a few minutes of browing the web for example example calling Amazon. I saw it suddently go into a dialog and install itself. At that point just go into extensions in Edge and delete/disable that extension. I then went ahead and installed Adguard.
