Where do I file a win 11 bug where it will actually get seen by Microsoft?

I don't have a contract number with Microsoft. But I'm having trouble with clicking on various window "previews" in the taskbar. At first it was only happening with Brave browser, now it's happening with more windows.

When I have all windows of a certain type (Brave browser or File Explorer) minimized in the task bar, I can hover my mouse over these stacked windows. A preview of each window pops up and I used to be able to click on one preview to restore that window. This no longer works consistently, and the problem started around March 5, 2025.

Full explanation of the problem is here: Clicking on Brave Taskbar thumbnail does not open any Brave Browser window

There are bugs for Power BI and Azure Data Factory which are 5 years old, and have never been addressed. So how do I file a bug with Microsoft where it will actually get addressed? The PBI and ADF teams seem to be lacking.

This is the $64,000 question. :-)

I don't think they take much notice unless you are a business with thousands of windows workstations.

I don't know about MS contact info but I feel your pain. I noticed this quirky behavior a couple of days, mostly with Explorer however also with Brave. I just chalked it up to MS trying to make my windows experience more enjoyable.

An assortment of "land fill, obsolete" computers all running Linux Mint 22 (at the moment).
Send two letters per week to Satya Nadella, and send them via snail mail. Seriously, though.. I don't have this problem nor have any other taskbar related problem affecting my workflow, as I use ExplorerPatcher with the "Windows 10 (ExplorerPatcher)" taskbar style option enabled in it. With this option enabled, the "Disable grouping on the taskbar" (taskbar-grouping) Windhawk mod also works for me. But I don't use Brave, as I vastly prefer Firefox Portable sandboxed (with Sandboxie-Plus) to steal all your chickens of course.

Thanks I'll try to disable grouping. In Windows 11 I found "Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels" and set it to "Never".

I do not have this problem on any of my machines. As suggested, report it to the feedback hub. It's in your all apps list.If it gets enough upvotes, MS will usually look into it.. But no, with a single complaint of such an issue, they won't because unless it's a wide spread issue, it's usually not a windows problem but a problem specific to the machine having the issue. Such an issue can be caused by the user using a third party app that alters the GUI, flakey hardware, tweaks the user has made, and corrupt system files.
If this was a problem with windows, we would all be having it.

I've actually had relatively niche issues fixed via the Feedback Hub. It was in insider builds though.

I've had a similar issue, but as a resolve I use a Windhawk mod called "Cycle through taskbar windows on click". For example, if I have multiple instances of Brave open, just clicking on the taskbar button will cycle through the previews until I find the one I want. I've longed quit the feedback hub due to it's absurdly high amount of ridiculous issue/bug reports vs. the actual unanswered legit problems/issues/bugs. Seems a lot of the legit "issues/ bug" reports are missed/ go unanswered in between all of the the "My start menu or app is broke, fix it (with no explanation of the problem or how to reproduce it)" posts. Either try a clean install as suggested, or find a resolve using a mod of some sort.
