Why has Adobe Acrobat Distiller just installed itself?

So I noticed Adobe Acrobat Distiller has just appeared as a newly installed program. I've never heard of it before. In all the years I've used a computer - never had it before. What is it? Assume Adobe Acrobat installed it as part of an update. Or is it something to do with Adobe Creative cloud (it's not in the creative cloud app though, it's in the Windows list of apps/programs).

In Acrobat Distiller, you can select settings used to convert documents to PDFs, security options, and font information. You also use the Acrobat Distiller window to monitor the jobs you've lined up for PDF conversion.

Do you have Acrobat Pro? Normally, the free version does not include this. It is a great tool if you use PDF and care about size and control.
