why my google drive whatsapp show as greyed and with exclamation mark

hi, please see, the picture.
I have tried to see whatsapp backup available in google drive for different devices i have.
But on going to the page of managing apps in google drive, I found that the whatsapp icon greyed and option is only disconnect, which I have not selected.
does it mean that no backup is available or is there any corrupted .
i do not want to loose all chats data, by uninstalling whatsapp. if i uninstall and reinsall, it will give restore tab , if it has backups.
what is the real fix. i tried so many fixes that does not work.
