Wifi fails to connect automatically

So I recently reinstalled Windows 11 for a dual boot on my laptop, and since then it never automatically connects to my router when it used to fine before. Drivers are up to date (Intell Wireless-AC 9560) from Dell, all updates are installed from Windows. Some of the things I've tried:
  • Reinstalled driver
  • Removed/Re-added router
  • sfc /scannow
It's certainly not an issue with the card since Ubuntu has absolutely no problems and connects before I even log in. I'd honestly totally ditch Windows if only for key apps I use such as Adobe & raw codec support as I always tend to have weird issues that happen like this.

My version is Windows 11 Pro, 23H2 Build 22631.2715.

As a follow up on this issue it turns out that I didn't actually have the corret driver.

The Dell website has [stupidly] recently changed so that you can't manually browse to your computer and download drivers, instead all you get is "Let Dell automatically find the drivers for you" where it attempts to check your drivers via the website, the other option is the Dell update software which I have. Non of these suggested any driver updates.

By going directly to the Intel website I downloaded more up to date WiFi drivers that fixed my issue. Why these drivers weren't available through Dells website or app I don't know... and it makes me think what else isn't the most up-to-date.

The reason is it takes a while for new Intel drivers to show up on the OEM sites. I use Intel Driver Support Assist tool to keep my Intel drivers up to date and Dell Command update for all the others.I do not have either app running in the background at startup. I manually use each of them every month or so.

Yes you can, but there's a little catch. I just stumbled on it a few weeks ago. Go to support page, click 'drivers & downloads'. Click 'check for updates'. It will try to download Support Assist. Click the X to stop download of Dell Support Assist. Then a page with all the drivers shows up.

I just tested out of curiosity and it indeed doesn't let you download drivers.
Reason for this seems to be because Windows 11 is not supported.
