Windows 11 23H2: Secure Boot Failed to Update a Variable, Secure Boot is not enabled

Hello all,

I’ve seen several similar threads but none that match my particular circumstances: I installed from custom Win11 install media (that I created) without the TPM and hardware requirements and now every few days my system randomly reboots itself. Each time the event viewer shows TPM-WMI error 1796, “The Secure Boot update failed to update a Secure Boot variable with error Secure Boot is not enabled on this machine”; I looked through my BIOS settings and couldn’t find any Secure Boot options. I don’t want to revert to Windows 10, but these restarts are getting annoying. Any advice?
