Windows 11 24H2 and AMD Polaris - Possible incompatibility?

Windows 11 23H2
I just upgraded my Windows 11 23H2 to 24H2 using the official iso. Everything looks fine, but after using the computer for a bit i notice that the UI starts getting laggy, especially explorer and windows minimize/maximize. After digging a bit i noticed with msi afterburner that when the pc starts going slow the frequencies of my GPU ( RX580 8gb) begin to go all over the place. They fluctuate a lot and never stay fixed to 300mhz as they should normally be. Just changing the resolution of the display or the refresh rate fixes the issues for a bit , but after a while it come back.

I rolled back to 23H2 and the issue is not present. I am also on the latest AMD drivers.

Is anybody having similar experiences?

Hello and welcome to ElevenForum. :-)

I've noticed similar issues.
Computer boots about 4 seconds slower.
When I open Nvidia Control Panel... it doesn't open as fast as it used to.
And if I'm away from the computer for 30 mins. or more... any Taskbar icons from Apps that were left "running" and minimized, take about 4-5 seconds to "open" when clicked on.

Nothing major, but just a bit off.

I also notice the vid card frequency, varying somewhat when opening and closing things, but that's fairly normal.
The frequency will change as the vid card "draws" whatever it is you've opened.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
Could you see with msi afterburner if your gpu frequencies also go all over the place when it happens? what card you have?

I use EVGA Precision X1, but it's the same thing. See my addition in the post above.
All the vid card tweaking programs are based on RIVA Tuner, from way back in the day.

You'll just have to wait a bit, with the rest of us, for MS to get their act together with 24H2.
I haven't noticed any "major" bugs... but there are quite a few minor ones. :/

I have the RX580 4GB.

I tried upgrading to 24H2 a couple of days ago, windows booted and then told me graphics driver was incompatible and then black screen, tried rebooting and all I got was the black screen.

Safe mode allows uninstalling video drivers, then I can get into windows, but every time I try to install the AMD GPU drivers I get the black screen.

I tried going back to 23H2, but windows somehow corrupted itself and can't restore. Later it corrupted itself even more and can't boot in safe mode.

Today I tried a fresh install of 24H2, it seemed to be working, but after I tried a reboot I got the monitor blink followed by black screen.
