Windows 11 24h2 no internet connection but LAN is working

Windows 11 Pro - 23H2
My desktop computer is affected to this bug. For my Laptop its running fine.

I didn't force update to 24h2. I just wait it appears to my system windows updated without any tweaks which started this January 26, 2025.

I already re-update 2x in Windows updated still the bug STARTS after 1 day of installing 24h2.

When the bug happens i just use Macrium Reflect to revert 23h2. Done update 2 times already so im pretty sure it is 24h2 Bug.

Anyone knows how to solve this bug?. Googling it seems plenty users are affected to this.

Tried resetting router, reset network settings, install latest network driver no fix.

My fix now is to pause windows update so it will not automatically download to my system.

The only fix is to revert to 23h2

in settings > network & internet
then your connection type (Ethernet or WiFI)

change the DNS settings to
primary > 1.1.1.1
alternative > 1.0.0.1

save the settings and then retry your internet connection please.

I believe @XxXxX gave you the incorrect advice. He gave instructions for changing your DNS server. Microsoft suggests users who are having issues with their network adapters after 24h2 to assign as static ip address to whichever network adapter is having the problem (wired or wireless)
Note:this workaround works for some users, but not all) If it does not work for your network adapters, you have to revert back to 23h2.

Let me add that if you cannot get your current IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS Server on the 24h2 machine using the command prompt, your can get it from your router OR another device on your network by inputting that same command. Just make sure the ip you assign to be static on the 24h2 computer is within the range of ip address that your router assigns and is not one that is used by any other device on your network..

It is what MS suggests you try.. IT DOES NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE. As I stated, if it does not work for you, revert back to 23h2 and stay there until MS fixes the issue, and who knows how long it will take, if ever, because as of right now, MS has made no announcement and not everyone is affected by this issue.

Ok. I think im gonna wait for the fix. My desktop gaming computer is use for work now. Better to avoid bug like what happen yesterday in my 2nd attemp to 24h2. It stop my operation for this bug.
