Windows 11 tabs not going fullscreen

I just got my PC about two days ago, but now both Steam and Settings won’t go full screen, yet they still show up on the task bar saying they’re maximized. It’s really piddling me off and I don’t want to have to get a new one because I just got this one.

There's nothing wrong with your computer. Open the app, drag the edges to almost full screen, leaving about a pixel on all sides. Close the app. When reopened it should be the way you resized it.
Also keep in mind, if you use SNAP to show multiple windows and then close the windows while they were snapped, those windows will reopen in the same size they were in when they were previously closed.

No but it’s like, not showing up at all, like it’s saying it’s there, but it really isn’t. I can only see the applications by hovering the arrow over the icons.

Move your mouse over the icon on the taskbar and hover it there. You should see a preview of the window popup. Move the mouse over the preview to show the window, click on the preview to open the window.

Or simply click on the program's taskbar icon to open or minimise the window.

Have you tried toggling back and forth between minimize and maximize?
