Windows signing me out after a short time


How to stop Windows/My lenovo Thinkpad from signing me out after 5 min inactivity

Welcome to the forum. I do not understand why this is a poll, but here's the answer to your question.

If you do not want to have to sign in when you wake from sleep, go to Settings>Accounts>sign-in options>under additional settings>if you've been away when should WIndows require you to sign in. Set it to NEVER.

You can adjust the time before Windows sleeps by opening control panel>power options>choose when to turn off display.

You have not listed your system specs so we have no idea what hardware you are dealing with. If this is a newer Thinkpad, it uses modern standby which is not sleep in the way we traditionally think of sleep..

edit power plan > advanced settings > require password at wake > set it to no

if thats not what you're referring to.. then what do you mean by 'signs you out after a short time'? more details would be helpful in regard to getting a solution
