Amongst those on my mailing list are a handful whose email address is someone@aol.com or someone@yahoo.com. Both of these quite frequently route my emails to their spam folders. If any other addresses do the same I am not aware of it. And even with AOL and Yahoo it doesn't happen every time.
The Yahoo one is the biggest problem because I regularly (monthly) send the copy for the parish magazine which I edit and DTP. That is sent as a print ready PDF and I often have to email the print shop owner asking if he got it. Oddly he gets that even on the same Yahoo address. The AOL one is more random and emails there rarely have attachments.
Going back a couple of decades or so I vaguely recall AOL having a bad reputation because, amongst other things, they were primarily a content provider, with an add on mail service.
Or is this just bad luck?
