Asustor NAS Enter network credentials error

After adding a Win11 Pro local account to run a Pimax Crystal VR HMD from, my Lockerstor AS6602 NAS can no longer be accessed. The Asustor Control Center can locate the NAS from the local account, but not from the Microsoft account. An attempt to access the NAS in Windows Explorer will return the "Enter network credentials" dialog window and will not accept the password to connect. I can still access the NAS from my laptop. Originally, a password was not set for the local account, but I added a password to see if this would enable the connection.

Network discovery is enabled and dism restorehealth etc. has been run. And, I attempted to connect the NAS directly to the computer or Gateway.

I am guessing that something on the order of a clean install of Windows is required. Even deleting the local account will be time-consuming, because of the need to reinstall programs.
Any suggestions on the best course of action?

Do you have any references to this NAS in Control Panel > Credentials?

Deleted the local account
- Able to access the NAS with Asustor Control Center, but stopped by the "Enter network credentials" when attempting to access the NAS using File Explorer.
Uninstall Acronis, iCloud, OneDrive and use msconfig to disable startup programs and limit to essential services before completing an in place upgrade of Win11 (keep apps and documents).
- Same problem with "Enter network credentials" preventing accessing the NAS (Restart NAS and reboot windows).
- Added the NAS and password directly in Windows Credential Manager. Same problem.

Clean install of Win11 Pro
Digital license not accepted error 0x803FA067
Follow troubleshooter steps, try the hardware change option. This is a Retail Win 10 Pro key purchased in Dec 2019 and used on a Z490 build. This year the computer was upgraded to Z790 motherboard, etc.
Troubleshooter shows as a digital license option for a 2016 Z170 6700K build, which used the Retail Win 10 Pro key until the Z490 build was completed mid-2020 (graphic card availability). An OEM discount key was used to activate Windows on the Z170 board, before this computer was given to a relative.
The Win 10 Pro key (upgraded to Win 11 Pro) was used on the Z490 up until the beginning of this year. The Z790 build was activated and shows up in my Microsoft account.
Spoke with Microsoft support on the telephone and they say the Win 10 Pro Key, printed on the key card and which has been used since 2020, is a Win 7 key.
Microsoft support says to contact the Amazon seller from 2019.
Illicit obsolescence.

How is the NAS physically connected to your network? Whats the topology?

With the Microsoft store digital license purchase the Win11 Pro install is activated and the NAS is recognized in File Explorer.
The NAS ethernet cable is plugged into a QNAP switch.
Relevance - I wouldn't expect the discount retail key purchased to no longer be recognized or suspiciously enough, to be partially functional.
And I suppose it is a modicum of humor with respect to the Alan Turing famous AI consciousness criteria.

Not sure exactly what you mean by topology.
Cable Gateway -> ethernet to QNAP managed switch -> ethernet to LAN plug on the computer motherboard.
NAS, BlueRay player, TV all connect to the QNAP. No additional VLAN. Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) is on.

Try assigning the NAS a static IP.

Now that the Microsoft Store digital license has been purchased the NAS is accessible.
The Asus Dark Hero motherboard has an ethernet port as part of the feature set.
The IP address is set in the NAS software.
