I actually like the design of this desk here. Although I question the quality of the materials.
And that draw to the right would be more practical facing the user. Good design though. As long as you’re not next to the ocean, should be OK. I lived in a house attached to the sand at a beach once and EVERYTHING got salt corrosion. TV, fridge, furniture… everything.

And that draw to the right would be more practical facing the user.
Actually, I think it would be more in the way if it was facing the user as they'd always have to move to open it.

Sure, you'd have to move anyway but the natural inclination is to push away from the desk. Also, when not at the desk and the chair is pushed in, now you'd have to move the chair to get into the desk.

And I don't live next to the ocean and actually am one who doesn't want to live next to it. To many environmental hazards to worry about. Not that environmental hazards aren't all around us, but...

    This is my backup system.
I need to replace my desk as well. I mentioned way back but it's ½" MDF and sags a bit there in the middle.

I've got a ton of wood left over from when I had my back deck extended and enclosed, so I was looking at this as an alternative base to start with, as I really want to keep with an L-shaped desk, and building the desk on top of that:

But I'm not a power tools kinda guy, anything beyond simple drilling and screw driving and I need someone else's help lol.

As it says, Drop your PC/Setups here :)
I had to use a CPU anti-bend frame because Intel designed their 12th generation with larger chips that flex under load which is why the thermal paste was uneven initially on my cooler despite being applied evenly at the factory. The power supply makes a little bit of noise, but hopefully will last awhile. It costs so much money now for a decent power supply that I shop on eBay for them and check the voltage under load once I get them. The Intel ARC A380 is the cheapest GPU with great encoding capabilities equivalent to the latest generation of Nvidia cards but obviously not as good for gaming. The computer encodes and records television 24/7. The previous media center was an old 8th gen Intel PC with GTX 1060. It is now dedicated to Blue Iris Security Cameras. I would recommend Amcrest cameras with Blue Iris. Reolink cameras are best value if you don't use Blue Iris.

Holy Gazeebos!
I find that even with three screens I shuffle Windows a lot, so it might make sense to max out. I know Nvidia has limit of 4 per card, but AMD makes card with 6 outputs.

Go for it! You can never have enough monitors!

And, you'll still shuffle windows around..., why? Because you can!!! ;-)

Here is my kitchen table desk setup with three 24" monitors and custom speakers under L/R monitors. It is a mess usually, so this is the natural state. Got risers so my I don't slouch as much. I am going to hook up Google Chromecast to a monitor as well for android apps. Used plumbing fittings to mount the speakers. It sounds great with no crossover or any resistors. I just simply split the speaker wire and ran to each speaker to make it 4 ohm and the lepai amplifier produces excellent sound. I teleconference from here as well since the wall is behind me.

Installed new Asus ROG Strix 4070 Ti OC the other day,
Quick phone snapshot. Using on 1440p monitor. Really like the performance. Benches about twice as fast as my previous 2070 Super. Have the memory jacked all the way to the maximum of about 24 GHz effective, and the GPU clock up to about 170 MHz (3050ish MHz).

Will post some better photos later of my updated full setup. Maybe include a pup or two :-)

@badrobot I'm assuming your wife's setup is the bottom pic ?
Any chance you could give me a link to her gaming chair, I like the look of it and I'm in
the market for something new. 👍

Jeebus!!! @badrobot How do you keep everything so damn clean!?!?!?
(I see you're still sportin that Yeti, haven't been able to give that thing away yet?) ;-)

The more junk I accumulate, the more of a p-i-t-a it is to keep everything clean!

No, that's an old photo. But here's how it is right now. Still looks the same, just no more Yeti. 😂

I use to have 4 monitors but got tired of them as I really don't need the extra screens. I was just pushing my GPUs limit back then. :ROFLMAO: I am happy with one 34 and one 27 inch. I just use screen split if I need more windows.
But when I am working from home, my 3rd screen is my office laptop screen.

To answer your question:
How do you keep everything so damn clean!?!?!?

My motto is "Have a place for everything and everything in its place". ;-)

A Guy was right. It's the Secret Lab Cookies & Cream chair. It has a built-in adjustable lumbar support and magnetic headrest pillow. She added an extra back pillow because she feels the chair is too deep for her. 🤭 She's not gaming though. Just a home office chair. :giggle:
Mine is the Secret Lab Omega.

Just a little contraption that I find useful.

I have a small form factor desktop that is so lightweight that it slides back if I push the power button. So, I made this little contraption from a metal band that has:
  • a loop in the front for my index finger while I am pushing the power button with the tip of my thumb; and
  • a bend in the back to act as a stop.
It works very well, LOL
