  1. Insider KB5016700 Windows 11 Insider Beta Build 22621.450 and 22622.450 - Aug. 2

yep, exactly. four-finger swipes for me between desktops is a guaranteed crash. guess I'll record it for the Feedback Hub.
  2. Insider KB5016700 Windows 11 Insider Beta Build 22621.450 and 22622.450 - Aug. 2

No Explorer.exe, basically the overall UI one uses to launch and view all applications and desktops. It’s been crashing on me for the last two beta builds. You'd know if it was happening to you if the taskbar kept disappearing and reloading. 😄 It's likely a StarDock Start11 problem.
  3. Insider KB5016700 Windows 11 Insider Beta Build 22621.450 and 22622.450 - Aug. 2

is it me or has Windows Explorer become increasingly unstable? Crashes a lot, especially when shifting between desktops. Hmm, maybe it's now incompatible with the version of Start11 I have installed... bother.
  4. Solved Windows Explorer High Power Usage

I'm having the same issue. on 22H2, Windows Explorer hovers around 10-11% most of the time, but often just goes to 20-25% "just because" :/. I do wonder whether it's either OneDrive or StarDock's Start11 that's the root cause.
  5. Solved Part of the taskbar disappears

I've seen this as well, icons on the right disappearing (HP Spectre x360, Intel video drivers, Windows 11 IP beta track, 22H2). For me, usually toggling the hidden state of the taskbar off/on or on/off brings all the icons back. I also have StarDock's Start11 installed.
  6. Explorer is "Laggy"!

my Windows Explorer isn't laggy, but it sure is active ALL THE TIME in the background according to task manager (5-10%). this is even with no file explorer windows open. Any ideas on how to combat this; I really mostly care because it eats laptop battery. I'm wondering if it's something to do...
  7. Battery time remaining - anyone seeing this in Win 11?

I checked my registry and I have the "EnergyEstimationEnabled=1" setting and I'm not seeing it either (just the percentage). If anyone figures this out, please let us know!
  8. Android Announcing Android apps on Windows 11 Preview for Windows Insiders

basically you have to do the usual developer type install via adb.exe in just a couple steps, the instructions are here.
  9. Android Announcing Android apps on Windows 11 Preview for Windows Insiders

ah, that was it! the docs at MS gave the impression the apk would launch after install. maybe i misunderstood.
  10. Android Announcing Android apps on Windows 11 Preview for Windows Insiders

I've had no luck on sideloading, though games via the Amazon Appstore are working. are you all who are sideloading just connecting via "adb" to the local IP (either "127.0.0.1:58526" or the one listed in the subsystem) and then using "adb install"? I'm getting back: Performing Streamed Install...
  11. Android Announcing Android apps on Windows 11 Preview for Windows Insiders

excellent, because as far as I can tell, all there is currently in the Amazon Appstore preview is... games. ;)
  12. Android Announcing Android apps on Windows 11 Preview for Windows Insiders

  13. Android Announcing Android apps on Windows 11 Preview for Windows Insiders

my guess is something to do with the Amazon Appstore integration. looked for that BTW in the MS Store and haven't found it yet myself. not sure how exactly they are rolling this out to people in the Preview program.
  14. Upgrading to Windows 11 via an update

I had been waiting over a week on Release Preview and never was offered the 11 upgrade, changed to the Beta channel and it came right up within 2 minutes. Whatever. :) Now to decide whether or not to just stay on xxx.194... (this is on an HP Spectre x360 10th gen i7)
