  7. M.2 NVMe SSD IO operation failures

Helmut This is my Device Manager. It look like the Micron driver isn't installed at all. Nor is there a Standard NVM Express Controller. Is it possible that my installation of the Micron driver didn't take because the SSD doesn't work as it should?
  8. M.2 NVMe SSD IO operation failures

My newly installed NVMe SSD creates hundreds of failures seen in Event Viewer and pointing at the new SSD: "The IO operation at logical block address 0x8120 for Disk 3 (PDO name: \Device\00000041) was retried" One of the symptoms is it takes three minutes to start Disk management. I've...

Thank you all for your help. My suspicion from the get go was not that bad. I replaces three bad Seagate HDDs and added an SSD. My boot time now is down to 25 seconds which is quite acceptable. I tried to disable CSM but the system objected that my video card was not UEFI compatible. I have some...

I'm still booting from the SATA SSD and boot time is now down 25 seconds so that's good. Closing or restarting the PC takes 2:50 which is horrendus. It...

  13. Windows 11 takes long to boot

I can't see the NVMe drive here. BTW, Transferring the system to the NVMe drive is what I've been trying to do for the past two days. That was the whole idea of my buying the SSD but this problem stopped it - just for a while I hope.
  14. Windows 11 takes long to boot

I just assumed I was zeroizing it. I did in fact a quick format but it took 15 minutes. Today running Disk Management the SSD drive came up as Not allocated with a question to initialize it which I tried to do. It failed. I rebooted and ran Disk Management again. Connecting to Virtual Disk...
