  1. Solved Weird iCloud Outlook problem - seems impossible to resolve

Ok, I fixed it! It was quite simple in the end. Apple/iCloud allows two email addresses (or more, I'm not sure) to be tied to the same iCloud account. So I added an @icloud.com one. Outlook of course allowed me to add that, and because it is tied to the same iCloud account, it carried all my...
  2. Solved Weird iCloud Outlook problem - seems impossible to resolve

Hi both, Yes, I have Googled and tried these methods already. It doesn't help! I followed Add or manage an iCloud email account in Outlook - Microsoft Support and the moment I put in my email address, with it added as Yahoo already, Outlook tries to be clever and tries to add it as a Yahoo...
  3. Solved Weird iCloud Outlook problem - seems impossible to resolve

Hi, My primary email account is a Yahoo (because I'm old) email. New Outlook in Windows 11 allowed me to add this account no problem, and so I see all my favourite spam in my email when I open Outlook, just as you would want. However, my primary calendar app is on my iPhone, which is obviously...
  4. Solved Slow Wi-fi speed - baffling me

So, you were right. I bought a single that had a meter or so cable. Literally putting it on the desk rather than directly connected to the back of the Pc, which is on the floor next to a cold metal radiator, boosted the speed up from 250 to 450! Thanks
  5. Solved Slow Wi-fi speed - baffling me

I appreciate all you say, and you’re probably right. I have bought a dongle with a larger arrial and on a cable with a dock, so that it can be positioned away from the PC, on the desk or such, rather than being directly plugged into the back of the PC box (which, incidentally is on the floor...
  6. Solved Slow Wi-fi speed - baffling me

I don't really mind the way it combines both bands into one SSD, as long as it picks the right one! Luckily, there is an option on the router to split it into two SSIDs if I wanted to, and I was tempted to make sure the PC was connecting to the 5Ghz. But anyway, you were right, it was easy to...
  7. Solved Slow Wi-fi speed - baffling me

Hi, I recently upgraded my internet connection from BT fibre to YouFibre - 900Mb/s. I'm not expecting to achieve those speeds for obvious reasons, the world isn't perfect, and it is also broadcasts on 802.11ac, which I would expect to see speeds drop off fairly quickly. So, it was no surprise...
  8. Please help! 0xc00000e - cannot boot

Well, that’s what I thought I did! I moved (copied) my Os to the other drive and formatted the Optane. Unfortunately it seems that Windows boot manager or the master boot record, or something, didn’t like me doing that. That drive continued to appear in the BIOS with ‘boot manager’ next to it...
  9. Please help! 0xc00000e - cannot boot

Hi, when I boot I see the error 0xc00000e A blue screen with the headline "Your PC Needs To Be Repaired" with the text "A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed." Choosing any of the available options either does nothing or reboots to the same screen. Context: I recently...
  10. Windows 11 - Intel Optane 905p SSD 9 2.5"

    What’s that showing?
  11. Installation on second drive

I noticed on the EaseUS website it lists cloning as a capability of the free edition, but doesn’t list migrating the OS, which is a feature of a paid tier.
  12. Installation on second drive

So will that create basically an identical drive for it to boot from as if nothing had happened, boot records, recovery partitions and all that? What would happen to drive letters? Also, Windows is currently installed on the old drive. The new drive is plugged in and empty. Can I do this from...
  13. Installation on second drive

Thank you! The consensus seems to be to go down the clean install route. I did try to use cloning software but it didn’t seem to work, the PC just booted into the C drive no matter what order I chose. So, just to be clear, if I unhooked C (Samsung) and booted into the installation USB I’d...
  14. Installation on second drive

I want to swap Windows to G because it’s currently on a HDD and G is a SSD, which is a heck of a lot quicker. It’s G because I also have a dvd drive, blue ray drive, removable media drive… G is the next letter in the sequence (it’s a new drive).
