It seems the 24H2 update has removed the calendar that usually appears when you click on the clock, something I use all the time.

Would anyone know how to restore that in 24H2, without having to do something like reverting the taskbar back to windows 10?

Thank you.

the calendar has not been removed in 24h2. do you have any tweakers/modifications installed/running on your system? (explorer patcher, startallback, start11, etc)

None installed, but just after installing it I did mess a little with the Group Policy Editor and tweaked a couple of services.

Sorry I can't be more specific, it was just a run though, not a planned attack. (As a bug bear, I did turn off any kind of desktop notification)

No. I meant did you apply the GPO to disable the notification (action) center. The Calendar is tied to the Notification (Action) Center.

That is a possibility, it is 1am here, I will have to have a look tomorrow and let you know if that's OK.. don't suppose you'd have an idea where that is located in the editor?

A note: the Calendar in Apps has changed on 24H2, now prompts for an update to Outlook before opening.

Unless Outlook has been uninstalled (because there was no need to keep it). Then the normal Calendar is shown:

Working again. I tried with the Group Policy Editor and it did not come back, so I used the registry key and that did, it, the bell is back, I just don't like the notification box above it, but I guess I'd have to live with it. Thanks very much

I just don't like the notification box above it, but I guess I'd have to live with it.
In the example I showed I did put back the notification box on purpose, to compare with the screenshot of @Berton in #10. But in real life my Calender does show like this:

002983.webp

How did i do that? I am using Windhawk to modify my taskbar". In Windhawk there is a mod called Windows 11 Notification Center Styler and there you can disable the notification area!

I appreciate the suggestion, but Windhawk adds running processes once installed and reverts changes once uninstalled. I don't think the tradeoff is worth it for one little change, but thanks for the option.
